A black and white photo of a boy standing behind a reindeer becomes the starting point of a windling adventure through space and time. A journey passing through Ingmar Bergman’s photographer Gunnar Fischer, a retired sea captain and the son of an English anthropologist. It’s a journey that finishes far up north in the Swedish mountains. Where things are not as English schoolchildren were told in 1946, and where Sara Labba gave birth to ten children of whom only five survived.
